Batch Convert XLSX Files

In today’s data-driven world, spreadsheet document remains a cornerstone of business operations. From financial reports to project plans, spreadsheets are used to organize, analyze, and present data. However, there often comes a time when spreadsheet files need to be converted into other formats, such as PDF, CSV, Word, or even image files - for sharing, reporting, integration, or archiving. When working with a handful of files, manual conversion might suffice. But what if you’re dealing with hundreds or even thousands? That’s where batch conversion becomes essential.

The tool Batch Convert XLSX Files allows user to batch convert spreadsheet files (like XLS, XLSX, CSV, ODS …) to various document formats, while maintaining its original layout, styles, and tabular integrity. Batch conversion is the process of converting multiple files from one format to another in a single operation. Instead of opening each spreadsheet file individually and saving it manually in another format, batch conversion automates this task - saving time and reducing errors.

By using a drag-and-drop interface, our tool allows users to click on files and drag them into a designated area of the application, which then automatically processes those files. It's intuitive, reduces friction, and supports batch processing.

The tool supports input formats beyond standard Excel files. These include:

  1. MS Excel: .xls, .xlsb, .xlsm, .xlsx, .xlt, .xltm, .xltx, .xml (SpreadsheetML)
  2. OpenOffice / LibreOffice: .fods, .ods, .ots, .sxc
  3. Other Formats: .csv, .tsv, .numbers (Apple's Numbers application)

Depending on your use case, you might want to convert spreadsheet files into one of the following output formats:

  1. MS Excel: .xlam, .xls, .xlsb, .xlsm, .xlsx, .xlt, .xltm, .xltx, .xml (SpreadsheetML)
  2. OpenOffice / LibreOffice: .fods, .ods, .ots, .sxc
  3. Web Page: .html, .mhtml, .xhtml
  4. Image: .bmp, .emf, .gif, .jpeg, .png, .svg, .tiff, .wmf
  5. Other Formats: .csv, .dif, .docx, .json, .md (Markdown), .numbers (Apple's Numbers application), .pdf, .pptx, .tsv, .xml, .xps

Every output format comes with custom settings to provides more control over file transformation, ensuring that the converted file meets your specific needs.

An spreadsheet file (usually .xlsx or .xls) can contain multiple sheets, each representing a different set of data. When converting to another format, the tool allows to convert all sheets or just a custom sheets (active sheet / a specific sheet number). NOTE: this feature is not applicable to input formats: .csv and .tsv

While converting, the tool ensures that the original Table structure, Cell styles, Formulas and values, Charts and graphs are retained. If specific fonts are unavailable in the target format, the converter provide close alternatives without distorting the layout.

Features:

  • Support batch conversion.
  • Support drag and drop functionality.
  • Support OpenOffice / LibreOffice formats (input and output).
  • Support multiple input & output formats.
  • Custom settings for different output formats.
